Welsh Government Welcomes Devolution of Income Tax Powers

The Welsh Government has issued a release noting that with effect from 6 April 2019, Welsh rates of income tax are devolved to Wales. Similar to the devolution to Scotland, the power to set rates of income tax for Welsh individual taxpayers has been devolved to the Welsh Government, although for 2019/20 the rates remain the same as the standard UK rates. --- From 6 April 2019, Welsh rates of Income Tax will be devolved to Wales.
