Uruguay has published Decree No. 23/024, which extends the incentive regime for large investment projects in building construction and urbanization that was introduced by Decree No. 138/020 in 2020 in response to COVID-19, including up to a 40% tax exemption depending on the investment amount. The Decree amends certain deadlines, including that the deadline to submit an application for a project to benefit from the incentive regime is extended to before 1 January 2025, and the deadline for executing projects is extended to 30 September 2027.
