Ghana has suspending its plan to begin levying VAT on financial services beginning July 1st, 2014. The implementation of the VAT on financial services had already been delayed before, as it was to be implemented along with the increase of VAT to 15% plus the National Insurance Levy of 2.5% at the beginning of the year.
