As previously reported, The European Commission extended to 30 June 2022 the waiver of customs duties and VAT on the import of medical and protective equipment from non-EU (third) countries. The waiver was first introduced in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and was previously extended to 31 December 2021. However, the decision for the extension of the waiver to 30 June 2022 is limited to 23 of the 27 EU Member States, including: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia,...
