The Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate has recommended approval of the protocols to the US (i) income and capital tax with France,  signed on 8 December 2004. The approval came by means of a voice vote of the Committee on 14 March 2006 that recommended the full US Senate ratify the protocols as negotiated. The approval follows the hearings held by the Committee on the protocols on 2 February 2006.
