UK HMRC has announced the opening of the Fulfilment House Due Diligence Scheme for registration on 1 April 2018. The scheme is part of a package of measures to combat the abuse of VAT rules by online traders based outside of the EU and requires businesses in the UK to register if storing goods imported from outside the EU that are owned by, or on behalf of, someone established outside the EU.
