The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) of the U.S. Treasury has issued a notice of proposed rulemaking for consultation, which was published in the Federal Register on 8 December 2021. This follows an advance notice of proposed rulemaking that was published for consultation in April 2020 regarding the requirements for companies to disclose information about their beneficial owners.
