The U.S. IRS recently announced certain tax relief for taxpayers impacted by Hurricane Ian in Florida, which was subsequently extended to taxpayers in North Carolina and South Carolina. This includes that the deadline for filing various federal individual and business tax returns and making tax payments is extended to 15 February 2023, including calendar-year corporations whose 2021 tax return extensions run out on 17 October 2022.
