Australia ratified the new income tax treaty and protocol between Australia and Finland, signed on 20 November 2006, on 24 September 2007. Once in force and effective the new treaty will generally replace the Australia-Finland income tax treaty of 12 September 1984, including the amending protocol of 1997.
