According to a notice published by the Finnish Ministry of Finance on 9 August 2022, the Netherlands has terminated the 2004 savings tax agreement between the former Netherlands Antilles and Finland as it applies in relations between Finland and Sint Maarten. The reason for the termination is the repeal of the EU Savings Directive, which was replaced by the amended provisions of the EU Administrative Assistance Directive. The termination is effective 1 January 2023. Note the agreement was previously terminated as it applied in relations between Finland and the BES Islands and Curacao in particular.
