On 24 April 2019, the Thai Cabinet approved the negotiation of income tax treaties with Bhutan, Maldives, and Tanzania, which will be the first of their kind between Thailand and the respective countries. The Cabinet also approved the negotiation of amending protocols to the in-force tax treaties with Romania (1996), Russia (1999), and Seychelles (2001), the pending tax treaty with Mongolia (2006), and the initialed tax treaty with Lithuania.
