According to a release from the Vietnam government, officials from the Ivory Coast and Vietnam met on 18 June 2019 to discuss bilateral relations, including the start of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
