On 30 August 2016, officials from Panama and Vietnam signed an income tax treaty. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries, although a previous draft had been initialed in June 2014, but was never signed. The treaty signed will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Additional details will be published once available.
