According to a release from Kyrgyzstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, officials from Kyrgyzstan and the Netherlands signed an income tax treaty on 5 December 2023. The treaty is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force after the ratification instruments are exchanged. Details of the treaty will be published once available. Note, the 1986 tax treaty between the Netherlands and the former Soviet Union had applied in respect of Kyrgyzstan and the Netherlands but ceased to apply in Kyrgyzstan from 1 January 2010 and in the Netherlands from 1 January 2019.
