According to a release from the Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Economy, officials from Kyrgyzstan and the Slovak Republic met from 22 to 24 March 2022 for the first round of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
