Tax Treaty between Kyrgyzstan and Japan under Negotiation

According to recent reports, Japan and Kyrgyzstan have begun the process for the negotiation of an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would need to be finalized, signed and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, would replace the 1986 tax treaty between Japan and the former Soviet Union, which continues to apply in respect of Japan and Kyrgyzstan.
