During meetings held 21 to 22 October 2018, officials from Israel and the U.S. reportedly agreed to the establishment of a joint task force to review the 1975 tax treaty between the two countries and identify provisions needing revision. The treaty was previously revised through protocols signed in 1980 and 1993 and any resulting revisions identified by the task force will need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
