The Government of Gibraltar has published a release announcing that negotiations have been opened for an income tax treaty with the United Kingdom. According to the release, it is anticipated that with hard work on both sides a final agreement can be signed in a matter of months. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two jurisdictions and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
