According to a release from the Luxembourg government, officials from Colombia and Luxembourg met on 28 November 2019 to discuss bilateral issues and agreed to the launch of negotiations for an income tax treaty by 2020. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
