On 28 November 2014, the tax information exchange agreement between Argentina and South Africa entered into force. The agreement, signed 2 August 2013, is the first of its kind between the two countries. The agreement applies for criminal tax matters from 28 November 2014, and for other tax matters for tax periods beginning on or after that date.
