The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has published an updated guide on the country's urban development zone (UDZ) tax incentive, dated 28 July 2021. The UDZ incentive, first announced in 2003, promotes investment in 16 UDZs in 15 inner cities through accelerated depreciation allowances for qualifying buildings.
