The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has published an updated Status overview of all DTAs and Protocols dated 17 May 2022. This includes an overview of South Africa's bilateral tax treaties and amending protocols, as well as the treaties that are covered agreements for the purpose of the BEPS MLI. Listed covered agreements include those with countries that have deposited their ratification instrument for the MLI and the latest update includes the addition of Cameroon, Romania, Seychelles, and Thailand. South Africa has not yet deposited its ratification instrument.
