On 21 June 2018, San Marino ratified the pending protocol to the 2007 income tax treaty with Cyprus. The protocol, which is the first to amend the treaty, replaces Article 25 (Exchange of Information) to bring it in line with the OECD standard for information exchange. It will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
