According to a release from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, negotiations are underway for a social security agreement between Portugal and Russia, with work to harmonize a draft agreement expected to begin in the near future. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
