According to a release from Bulgaria's Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, officials from Bulgaria and Georgia met on 30 November 2021 to discuss labor issues and expressed their readiness to begin negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
