The Brazilian government has announced that the presidential decree for the ratification of the social security agreement with the United States was published in the Official Gazette on 26 June 2018 and the agreement will enter into force and apply from 1 October 2018. The agreement, signed 30 June 2015, is the first of its kind between the two countries.
