According to a release from the Serbian Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, officials from Australia and Serbia met on 4 August 2021 met to discuss bilateral cooperation, including the continuation of negotiations for a social security agreement. Any resulting agreement would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
