On 24 June 2021, the Romanian government authorized the negotiation and signing of amending protocols to the 1993 tax treaty with Luxembourg, the 1995 tax treaty with Malta, and the 1984 tax treaty with Sri Lanka. Any resulting protocols would be the second to amend the treaty with Luxembourg and the first to amend the treaties with Malta and Sri Lanka, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force. Details of each protocol will be published once available.
