According to a recent update from the South African Revenue Service, the 2012 protocol to the 1996 income tax treaty between South Africa and Norway entered into force on 20 November 2015. The protocol, signed 16 July 2012, replaces Article 26 (Exchange of Information), bringing it in line with the OECD standard for information exchange. The protocol applies from 20 November 2015.
