According to recent reports, officials from Romania and Vietnam met on 24 January 2019 and agreed to the signing of an amending protocol to 1995 income and capital tax treaty tax treaty between the two countries. The protocol will be the first to amend the treaty and based on an earlier draft, will include amendments to Articles 2 (Taxes Covered), 3 (General Definitions), and 13 (Capital Gains) and the replacement of Article 27 (Exchange of Information).
