According to a 31 January 2019 release, Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa has signed the law for the ratification of the pending income tax treaty with Angola. The treaty, signed 18 September 2018 ({News-2018-12-17/T/2-previous coverage}), is the first of its kind between the two countries and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged and will apply from 1 January of the year following its entry into force.
