On 21 July 2021, Portugal deposited its notification for accession to (ratification of) the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties Between States and International Organizations or Between International Organizations. The Convention, first opened for signature in 1986, will enter into force 30 days after the 35th state deposits its instrument of ratification. To date, 33 states have deposited their instrument. Several international organizations have deposited their instrument as well, but these are not considered for meeting the 35 state condition.
