The OECD has announced the recent signing of the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Account Information by Australia, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, India, Indonesia and New Zealand. The signing of the agreement by the seven countries brings the total number of signatories to 61. India plans to begin the automatic exchange of information by September 2017, while the other six countries intend to begin by September 2018.
