Nigeria's Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has officially launched a new e-invoicing platform, the Merchant Buyer Solution (eInvoice), in conjunction with the inauguration of the National Electronic Invoicing Inter-Agency Steering Committee on 29 April 2025, which will oversee the rollout of the platform. The rollout is happening in phases, with an initial pilot phase currently being implemented with select large taxpayers. This will later be expanded to all large taxpayers, which is expected later in 2025, and eventually to medium and small enterprises.
