On 2 December 2013, the new government released its fiscal plans for the coming years. The most important aspects are summarized as follows. (a) General Luxembourg will work on strategies to ensure stability, legal certainty as well as competitiveness in the international arena in line with the OECD initiatives. The government announced an increase of the country's revenue as necessary but to be achieved mostly through economic growth and only to a lesser extent through increase of taxes.
