On 8 August 2017, New Zealand Inland Revenue announced that two Orders in Council have been signed to ratify the pending protocol to the 1986 tax treaty with India and the pending tax information exchange agreement with San Marino. The protocol, signed 26 October 2016, is the third to amend the treaty and will enter into force once the ratification instruments are exchanged.
