Officials from the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom are scheduled to meet from 15 to 18 January 2024 for the first round of negotiations for a new income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty will need to be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force and, once in force and effective, will replace the 1990 tax treaty between the United Kingdom and the former Czechoslovakia as it applies in relations between the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom.
