On 10 March 2015, officials from Hungary and Luxembourg signed a new tax treaty. Once in force and effective, the treaty will replace the 1990 income and capital tax treaty between the two countries, which is currently in force. According to a press release issued by the Hungarian government, it is expected that the new treaty will enter into force in 2016. Additional details will be published once available.
