Multilateral Agreement on Information Exchange Signed by 51 Jurisdictions

On 29 October 2014, the OECD announced that 51 jurisdictions have signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement On Automatic Exchange Of Financial Account Information. The agreement specifies the details of what information will be exchanged and when, as set out in the Standard for Automatic Exchange of Financial Information in Tax Matters. Three of the signatories, Albania, Aruba and Austria, have agreed to begin information exchange by September 2018, while the following 48 signatories have agreed to begin by September 2017: Anguilla, Argentina, Belgium, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Croatia, Curacao, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands,...
