On 7 June 2024, Mongolia's Ministry of Labour and Social Protection issued a release on the negotiation of social security agreements (SSAs) with different countries. This includes that negotiations are ongoing for SSAs with Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Turkey, and the United States. Further, Mongolia is looking to begin negotiations with Canada, Japan, and Sweden. Lastly, it is noted that the government has approved a draft SSA with Kazakhstan, which must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
