On 1 April 2024, the Companies Commission of Malaysia announced the launch of the Electronic Beneficial Ownership System (e-BOS). The system can be accessed via the SSM4U portal https://ssm4u.com.my/ and has been launched to allow companies to meet the new beneficial ownership reporting requirements introduced by the Companies (Amendment) Act 2024, which was approved in February 2024 and entered into force on 1 April 2024.
