The National Foreign Trade Council has published a letter sent to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee concerning pending bilateral income tax treaties and protocols. The letter, signed by more than 85 major U.S. companies and business associations, notes the importance of tax treaties in fostering U.S. bilateral trade and investment and protecting U.S. businesses from double taxation, and urges expeditious action by the Committee and the Senate as a whole on pending income tax treaties and protocols.
