Executive summaryOn 7 June 2022, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom (UK) signed a new Convention for the Elimination of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital and the Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance (the Treaty), which is largely based on the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Model Tax Convention (MTC) in its version of 2017.
