Luxembourg has published the Law of 12 May 2020 in the Official Gazette, which formalizes certain measures taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the extension of the tax return deadline for 2019 to 30 June 2020. In addition to extending the standard deadline, the law also extends the possibility of requesting a further extension, which is decided by the tax authority on a case-by-case basis. The maximum extension for such requests is extended from 30 June to 31 December 2020.
