The Minister of Finance has proposed new additions to the 2012 Draft Taxation Laws Amendment Bills to close tax avoidance schemes related to the dividends tax. The legislative proposals are aimed at closing schemes involving the conversion of dividends into other forms of non-taxable income, specifically dividend schemes involving foreign shareholders.
