Latvia's Ministry of Finance has published an updated status document on Latvia's tax treaties (conventions), including the status of negotiations. This includes that negotiations were concluded with Kosovo with the initialing of a tax treaty on 30 November 2018, and that negotiations have been initiated with Sri Lanka with the first round of negotiations held 15 to 19 October 2018. The treaties will be the first of their kind between Latvia and the respective countries, and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
