Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov has reportedly instructed the government to submit a draft law to parliament to reduce the social security contribution rate from 27.25% to 12.25%. The reduced rate will not apply, however, for state-funded companies and companies in highly profitable industries/sectors, such as mining, alcohol, tobacco, and fuel sales and lubricants, cellular communications, internet service providers, and commercial banks and, specialized financial and credit institutions. Further details on the implementation of the contribution rate cut will be published once available.
