On 7 October 2024, the Turkish Social Security Institution issued a release announcing the conclusion of the second round of negotiations for a social security agreement with Kosovo. According to the release, the two sides have concluded negotiations for the final administrative agreement on the implementation of the social security agreement. The agreement will be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be signed and ratified before entering into force.
