Kazakhstan's State Revenue Committee has issued a release on amendments to the Tax Code in relation to the calculation of personal income tax. This includes changes in relation to certain compensation and remuneration not considered taxable income, adjustments for certain income, and the determination of certain property income. The main change, however, is a new provision that income in the form of capital gains from the sale of digital assets is subject to personal income tax with effect from 1 January 2023.
