According to recent reports, officials from the Ivory Coast and Vietnam met on 31 October 2019 to discuss bilateral relations and agreed to the acceleration of negotiations for an income tax treaty. Any resulting treaty would be the first of its kind between the two countries and must be finalized, signed, and ratified before entering into force.
